Unit II

Space Explorers
We will play our first pitched instrument, the resonator bells! We continue to review the skills learned from Unit 1 while also introducing new skills. We use contrasting concepts of high and low, loud and soft, staccato and legato, and fast and slow to explore the expressive aspects of music. Students start their journey into music literacy while traveling through space as musical astronauts. Our Poem “The Ninja’s Ate My Pizza” sends your students on an imaginative journey from planet to planet around our solar system!
